Product Description: 

The effective UHF TEM cavity of GR-605 shielding box provides a reliable and stable electromagnetic field for testing small RF devices such as pagers, GPS receivers, mobile phones, etc. An external test signal loaded through the input port of GR-50 shielding box generates a reliable, stable and predictable TEM test field in the inner part of the cavity.

Working Principle:

 The GR-605 cavity works beyond the operating frequency range of a typical TEM cavity which is limited by the cavity resonance. Typical TEM unit is a symmetrical two-port device; the RF voltage is loaded to one port, while the other port is loaded with 50 ohms and maintains 50 ohms impedance characteristics inside the cavity. Due to the expansion and contraction of the cavity, the transmission of waves beyond a certain frequency is not only transmitted in TEM mode, but also produces resonance. In order to reduce the resonance, half of the cavity is replaced by absorbing material. Commercial applications are G-TEM cavities. Due to the type of absorber used, G-TEM design size is too large for typical small devices. The concept of G-TEM is used for reference, but the configuration of terminal application is changed. A very compact broadband TEM resonator which can be used on the desktop is designed. The working principle of GR-605 is essentially the same as that of TEM cavity. The E-H field in the test body is proportional to the input voltage and inversely proportional to the height of the cavity. If a radiator is inserted into the cavity, the radiation wave to the input port is guided by a transmission line and received by a receiving device such as a spectrum analyzer at the input end. In this way, RFI from radiation equipment can be quantitatively measured. Because the instrument is broadband, it has many applications in EMI, EMS receiver sensitivity and other fields.
